Agropreneurs will change the world: Tsiamalili

2021 SRC focuses on quality education

QUALITY Education is the focus of the 2021 PNG UNRE Student Representative Council and the body is doing everything possible to achieve this. UNRE SRC President James Waikila said, therefore, the SRC has come up with some effective programs to help students to see what is required by industries.  One of the approaches is an Internal Career Expo where Bridging students will be invited to give career talk to students.  “We will invite our Bridging students to share their work experiences and market the industries they are working for,” he said.   The Expo is scheduled for next Saturday (22 May 2021) starting at 7pm at Ruthley Hall. The SRC is also putting together educational and spiritual programs that will help change the mindsets of students. “We want our students to be in demand after graduating from this University and if this is not happening then something is wrong and all of us need to address this,” he said. UNRE engages New Britain Drillers to improve campus water supply system

WORK on improving the water supply system at PNG University of Natural Resources and Environment’s Vudal Campus has begun. PNG UNRE recently signed a contract with New Britain Drillers to upgrade its water supply at the cost of K484,524. Water has been a problem for many years and the University Administration under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Aisak Pue has made it a priority to have the problem fixed before the end of this year.
